Serigraphy
In addition to graphic design, screen printing technique was my other speciality during my 5 years of studying art.
Although most of my work was done in service of communities and/or non-profit organizations, a small number of years I found time to have and use my own atelier to produce “free” art in the form of serigraphies.
I already started making serigraphies in the last years of my study but most of them were produced in the late seventies and early eighties. I usually made series of about 10-40 copies, sometimes 50, but some are unique prints. Some have been sold, some are still available.
“Groningen” and “dark birds” are not real serigraphs but so called “glassprints” and unique as you basically can only print one copy with this technique.
Image formats vary from 30x20 cms to 40x60 cms, most of them have been printed on 50x70 cms white heavy paper.
The “passepartouts” here are all just digital backgrounds for this website.
The “human tree” consists of three different serigraphies but should be seen as one “triptych”.
Al these serigraphies and glassprints are handsigned and where applicable numbered as part of a series.
Hope you like them.
All images here are low res to protect them, sorry.
